Every year, the company celebrates the success of the previous year and looks to the future with an award ceremony and a conference for the team. This year the historic Melville Castle Hotel was the luxurious and stunning venue for the PSA Conference and Award Ceremony.
Jon MacLeod, Paterson SA Creative Director, who hosted the even, emphasised the importance of striking the right balance between business and creativity and had special thanks for the receptionists, who play a pivotal role in business. Before announcing the award, Jon said: “We can be forgiven for thinking our job is about cutting hair, it’s not; it’s about taking care of people and making them look and fell amazing. When we do our job to the best of our ability, we increase people’s confidence and self-esteem; we must always remember that this is our objective.” When it came to the awards, the big winner was George Street Stylist Natalie Murphy who walked away with four of the coveted prizes.
Each member of the team was invited to vote for their favourite Assistant Image of the Year, Image of the Year and Collection of the Year. Morgan Taylor of Lothian Road won Assistant Image of the Year, while Dalkeith Team achieved both the Image of the Year and Collection of the Year awards for their beautiful collection.
This year, voting was one of the hardest for our judges so far, the competition and the quality was so high that it became really difficult to pick a winner but finally Commercial Quay Team was crowned Artistic Salon of the Year with their stunning collection.
